Some of the strongest special effects have been designed for this imaginative Arabian Nights fantasy film. The magic flying carpet, six-armed mechanical assassin, and a flying toy horse are still etched in our minds. The sight of the 50-feet tall genie or Djinni (Rex Ingram) released from a tiny bottle and poor Bagdad thief Abu's battle with a giant spider inside a huge web are also superb examples of imagination, visual design, and visual effects.
