VFX Artist is a Good Career & the salary depends on the following factor:-
1.Studio you work in.
2.Your skill set , if you are only capable of rotoscoping then they won't pay you much. But if you can do matchmoving along with the knowledge of comp or motion graphics , you have a chance to grow in the studio .
3. Attitude - Even if you pass the test , they check if you are patient and humble enough to give you 100%.
Most important thing is your showreel , make your own stuff to impress and get a great break.
